Funny Crew Moments
Being on film crew is all about a love for God, it's all about serving the one who gives us life, and it's about using the creative skills God gave us to help build his church.
However... despite this and the high importance of what we do... we like to have a laugh... and believe me, alot of funny things have happened on filmcrew over the years..
I thought i'd open the floor for people to post their funny filmcrew related stories! I want to hear especially from you filmcrew veterans out there!

i'll kick start proceedings.
I remember clearly the day a young Matty Fleay got a little dizzy whilst doing center camera and fainted and fell completely off the riser. hehe.
He was fine luckily...narrowly missing a person sitting in a chair next to the camera. But i remember Penny actually stopping her message and screaming out "ooohhh is he ok??"
hehehe.
I remember that...
Or the time that Darryl was on camera during the first Bloke - there was a 'Blow Something Up' outside the back door.
They threw outside for Bryce talking to camera, laughing about how they were going to blow Phil Baker's car up, heh heh...
They cut back to Phil in the auditorium, and suddenly there was an almighty bang outside as the cracker went off...
And the camera lens fell off the camera.
Meng was cable pulling and had to physically hold the lens on the camera, and so when we cut back out there the image kept going out of focus as Meng struggled to keep the lens on.
Funnily enough it looked good - like the explosion was so big and powerful that it actually broke the camera!
Needless to say it was the old equipment, and not long after that we got the new stuff in!
Ha ha, i remember the exploding lense.. you couldn't have bought a better moment for a lense to fall off.. the people inside thought the video crew had been blown apart! it was a moment of genius!
Speaking of old cameras I remember the time Regan was doing handheld and tried to check his preview button.. the button jammed and got stuck and he couldn't fix it, so spent the next 20 minutes watching the shoot in his viewfinder!!
He turned on the talkback and began yelling "camera 1 down, camera 1 down!" and was quickly told.. "We can't help ya, you're on your own." It sounded like a conversation out of a war film!
So he stayed out there and tried to guess the approximate framing of his shots, but couldn't check his focus until the director cut to him... needless to say it wasn't the most inspiring performance, but it did provide plenty of laughs after!
