Hello RVTV from the U.S.A
Hello RVTV crew. Well it's been a very long time since i've posted anything on this blog, so i thought i should pop on and say hello. Seeing as though i'm in america and all.
Anyway, all is going well here over in the states. My summercamp work is going great where i've played a large role as the videographer shooting and editing 15 minute highlight videos that the campers watch at the end of the week before they go home, and also purchase a copy of on DVD.
It's been a little tougher, as we only shoot on little small handycams really designed just for home use, and then the editing software we have is "Final Cut express" Which is a simplistic version of Final Cut Pro with a few of the better features missing. Such as the ability to use keyframes to allow you to control how fast or slow a transition or effect will occur. So it certainly hasn't been a riverview experience when it comes to the legistics of video production. But i feel with the gear we've had.. We've done a really good job. And i've certainly impressed the camp directors as they've asked me to stay behind after camp and make a few promotional videos that will go on the camp website. So that's good news. More travelling money for me!
I'll aim in the next few days to post a few minutes of one of the weekly DVD's we've done so you guys can check it out.
I'm really missing all of you guys and missing the crew life. It'll be amazing to get back in october and pick up one of those beautiful high quality handhelds again! And i miss the rvtv community.. the prayer, the pizza, and the people.
Anyway, i hope your all well!
Love Harry Boy
P.S. Below is a picture of me and the other videographer Robert up in our little office at camp overlooking a beautiful bay. (not that you can really see it out that window, but just trust me that it's a very nice view)
