Psalm 65

I just love this Psalm.. I often read it before i come in for crew because it reminds me just what a creative and powerful God we actually serve... and reading it gets me even more stirred up to get in there and do a good job to hopefully shine his name the best i can.

Sometimes maybe crew can just seem like something we do for the sake of it... Perhaps because we just like using the cameras, or because we want to meet people or just get involved in some way ....Which can all be true..... But it's good to know there's a much bigger cause and purpose to it than that. The God we come in to serve each week is powerful and awesome and he watches what we do each time we're on and he loves it!

There's a cause to be passionate!! Because the God we serve is MIGHTY!

Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion;
to you our vows will be fulfilled.

O you who hear prayer,
to you all men will come.

When we were overwhelmed by sins,
you forgave our transgressions.

Blessed are those you choose
and bring near to live in your courts!
We are filled with the good things of your house,
of your holy temple.

You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness,
O God our Savior,
the hope of all the ends of the earth
and of the farthest seas,

who formed the mountains by your power,
having armed yourself with strength,

who stilled the roaring of the seas,
the roaring of their waves,
and the turmoil of the nations.

Those living far away fear your wonders;
where morning dawns and evening fades
you call forth songs of joy.

You care for the land and water it;
you enrich it abundantly.
The streams of God are filled with water
to provide the people with grain,
for so you have ordained it.

You drench its furrows
and level its ridges;
you soften it with showers
and bless its crops.

You crown the year with your bounty,
and your carts overflow with abundance.

The grasslands of the desert overflow;
the hills are clothed with gladness.

The meadows are covered with flocks
and the valleys are mantled with grain;
they shout for joy and sing.

We had the opportunity to shoot a TV commercial last week for Mega Music. It went really well and they were stoked with our work.

In this clip our superstar technical operator Nat Brown nails the shot of the shoot! delivering an A1 top quality camera shot & setting a new bench mark for correct camera handling procedures. Mega music will love it!

Please watch and be inspired as Nat-Rad strutts his stuff & shows us how its done. Voila.

Short film festival

The other day i received an invite to enter a christian short film festival.

The goal is to make a 5-7 minute film based on a scripture with the key word "Light" which instantly gets my mind racing onto all sorts of dynamic/creative concepts.

It actually sounds like a great idea and is still a couple of months away, but i can't picture myself having enough free time to put something together. If anyone has a short film which would work though, or wants to write a script and give something a go then here's a promo video with some details.

For quite a few years there's been vision within RVTV to see short films created within Riverview, we started a short film group a year or two ago and came close to shooting something.. (how's that shot-list coming along Nat? hehe) but unfortunately there wasn't enough energy put into to see it come together.

Perhaps we'll re-launch something down the track and clean up the awards at tropfest! ole'

Congratulations Albert & Donna!

Well done to the proud new parents of Jaydon Lucas Notopuro, born on Saturday 17 March 2007, 11.52am at King Edward Hospital.

Albert is a legend on the crew who lived in team 6, but has recently been shipped back to his former team, number 1, which Joelle is very happy about!

Only 14 years to go before Jaydon can join the crew! :)

Congratulations guys, you have a beautiful baby!
