Before & After!!

I stumbled across these old pics recently and had to smile when i saw how much the crew has changed over the last few years.

The control room is virtually unrecognisable from what it used to be, the mm room has been moved into its own separate area, and of course our cameras look and feel completely different being 16:9 instead of 4:3...

Please take special notice of the gaffer tape holding the centre cameras together!! The gaff has served us well over the years and kept the old cameras running in top nick..

We shot over 500 episodes of television on our 4:3 cameras, & with 1 million people watch churchlive@riverview per week.. that means 500 million people have tuned in over ten years to watch the messages these cameras filmed.. how many potential lives could God have impacted through this old gear?? its sensational when you think about it!

Nostalgic as it makes me.. its very very nice to have equipment which works when you turn it on!!

The Amazing Team 2

Hello everyone,

It's Kazza here. As per my promise to you, I present the Team 2 to this blog. I was given the privilege by Mezza and Pol to step in and lead team 2 in late September. It was sad for me to depart from team 1 members and Joelle. But nonetheless, team 2 has embraced me with arms open wide and I was very excited to be part of this team. I am looking forward to serve and share the Riverview crew experience with these guys and gals.

I want to show you the picture of team 2. The only person missed in these photos is Caroline Halim (Kazza 3). I'll try to have her photoshop-ed in next time.

Two lovely members will leave the team in coming weeks. Sam Bothasitse will be going home to his beautiful family in Botswana and Terje Steen will head back to Norway to start new chapter there. We wish them the best for future and pray for their journey with God will continue on in their home church.

I shall end my first blog here and I used Chippy id to blog this until I get Harry Boy to help me get my own id. Thanks for reading my very first blog.

cheers,
Kazza

I can See

Well the week has been a long and hard one, working flat out for the whole week while also working the whole weekend before and now the weekend after.

But alas all for a good cause................. My camera crew....... and the church :)

The new screens are up and they look hot. New projectors with around 3 times the lumens (brightness) of the older ones we are in progress.
Firday nights youth service was great you can now see the words from the back foyer wall, and the camera shots are so in your face. I hope you call get to have a gander over the weekend.

Let me know your thoughts.

Until then

Why do you serve on RVTV ?

Here's a post for our RVTV audience to have their say on.

Why do you serve on the RVTV Crew? what is it about our film crew that you enjoy? Tell us a bit about your story of when you joined and why is it that you continue to come in each week and do camera..

We would love to hear what drives people to be part of our crew :)

I'd like to see multiple different comments coming in from our film crew guys.... there's over 100 different people reading this blog each day so i say let them speak up and share their thoughts! :))

Love Harry Boy.

The time has come !!!

Well its time, to finally put some hard work into all my words, Yes I do work sometimes….

We are upgrading the screens now to a large 17x10 feet. That is 5.18x3.05 Meters. So they are basically the same height as the current screens just another 1.2 meters longer creating a full 16:9 ratio screen. NO MORE BLACK BARS...........

With some new Projectors to give a nice and bright image it will look great with a high resolution signal from camera to screen...

I would like to thank all of the Volunteers who have come in over the last 2 weeks giving up there time during the week to help with the cleaning up jobs, moving 200+ chairs onto the mezzanine floor, and cleaning up all the production items and the Events stuff (lack of a better word) to new homes...

We begin the work on Monday with the removal of some old dirty screens and some cutting and a demolishing......

I'll update again on our progress..
