Gratitude

Well... this fellow is very grateful to be alive!

On Monday 2nd August Adrian collapsed on his way to work with a heart attack.
His heart didn't beat for over 7 minutes & he was rushed to ICU where they managed to revive him.
Doctors feared he may suffer permanent brain damage due to the heart stopping for so long, yet later that week he was taken out of an induced coma, to discover he could talk, move & respond to their questions!

Surgery was needed to correct his jaw, which was broken when he collapsed, and he'll be fitted with a defibrillator to protect against any future heart issues.

He's already called me though to say he wants to remain on rvtv and keep serving - & let us know that he's missing the team!

There are a couple of miracles which occurred - firstly the attack happened in public & someone quickly started performing CPR, which certainly saved him. Secondly he was close to the murdoch hospital and got there fast enough to be revived. Thirdly no damage of any kind was experienced... beyond a sore jaw & cheekbone which will heal soon enough.

It's funny cause we all prayed fervently for his recovery and that his brain would be okay.. but i'm still surprised how quickly he has bounce back and recovered.

So this post is important to document the history - but it's key purpose is to give thanks to God.

Thank you God for hearing our prayers and restoring Adrian's life - his wife Jenny was not ready to say goodbye, and we're so grateful that you took a situation out of our control and showed us that you are sovereign over all. We're sorry when we forget to trust you & put you 1st, & we want to say thankyou for intervening in his life & keeping him with us. You are a good God! and we're grateful :)

Amen.
