I'm off to America.

Hello filmcrew people.

Just thought i'd pop in with a little message to let everyone know that i'll be off to America tommorow. I'll be working as a cabin counsellor and a videographer on a summer camp not too far from Philadelphia, followed by touring the U.S.A and then England after that! which is very exciting but nerve racking too!

So, you won't see me on crew for probably the next 5-6 months. So please don't call me and ask me to fill in! haha!

Anyway, I'll really miss the crew because it's basically been the foundation of my life for the past 6 years. It's often been the thing that's helped me get through a crappy week at TAFE or work because i've known i'd be doing camera or directing on the weekend. It's a huge passion in my life and it's been the filmcrew that has given me some of my best friends whilst at the same time giving me an avenue to be creative and use my skills, which gives glory to God.

I could count all the shoots i've missed during those 6 years on both hands too.. which is pretty crazy. So it'll be weird going so long without rocking up in the greenroom and praying and then doing camera at church.. Because it's so well drilled into my lifestyle. I'll probably get some strong withdrawal symptoms and start shaking!! hehe

Anyway, hopefully the break will be nice and refreshing too. And when i come back i'll have even more of a hunger for it and be ready to raise the bar again!

But for now, it's time for this Harry Boy to head to America and shown 'em how it's done!

What a great BUNCH!!!!!

Hi All,
What a fantastic 'Mothers day' weekend it has been at Riverview, and we finished it off with a fantastic shoot sunday night that saw us welcome Peter B. officially into team 5, and some new recruits for their first chance to do camera work. Well done Davor, Daniel, Jacob and Michael you guys are all going to be awesome operators and we can't wait to have you on crew permanently.
Well done Kevin for passing camera 4 position, we will soon see you up on stage giving us great drum shots. Keep up the great work guys, it's a privelage to serve with you all and take our message to the world.

Well you have gone and done it at last! the great MJ has left us for europe after much planning and saving, by working unbelievably late and tiring weekend gigs!!
I'm sure that everyone on TV crew wishes you the best and know that the media skills you have shared with us all will continue to have a lasting positive effect in all our shoots!!
Our best thoughts and prayers go with you and we know that you will find exciting work when you get there and we expect to be kept up to date with the lastest happenings ( like MJ directs U2 at Wembley Stadium!!) and stuff!!

Joelle and i are back after a lovely 2 week break, and are proud to report that the crew survived magnificently without us!

We used the time-off to move into a lovely new home, attend & help with a good friends wedding, and attend my fathers 60th birthday, so it was a great 2 weeks!

We're straight back into it this weekend though with a tv record on sunday morning and training sunday night, along with the 1st youth service for term 2 kicking off this evening.. gonna be a huge weekend !!
